Doris Allhutter is a senior researcher in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at the Institute of Technology Assessment at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and a lecturer at the TU Wien and the Johannes Kepler University Linz. She has a background in social and economic sciences (MA) and political science (Dr phil.). Her research focuses on the question of how difference and social inequality co-emerge with information infrastructures and sociotechnical systems. She uses ethnography to trace the implicit normativity of computing practices with a focus on how these practices are entrenched in societal power relations.
Bettina Berendt is a professor for Internet and Society at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Technische Universität Berlin, Director of the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society, and guest professor in the Declarative Languages and Artificial Intelligence Group DTAI of the Department of Computer Science at KU Leuven.
